I’d add The Manipulated Man by Esther Vilar and My Early Life by Winston Churchill.

May I suggest Epiktet in addition to the “letters from a stoic”

Good list, might I add “Self-Reliance,” by Emerson (free at Wikisource) and “The Book of Five Rings,” by Miyamoto Musashi.

“48 Laws of Power” and “Meditations” are two excellent reads, also Benjamin Franklin is probably one of the most badass dudes to ever live.

Please add to the list: The Art of War by Sun Tzu (the Samuel B. Griffith translation)
